Alright. It's mostly official.

[UPDATE: And now, after receiving the official text message, it is official.]

CNN's John King has just reported after 12:40am on Saturday morning that Joe Biden is indeed Obama's pick for VP on the Democratic ticket.

Apparently, he gets quicker text messages then the rest of America.

Rumors of Biden being the pick had been swirling around all night, as it was confirmed that others on the presumed "short list" had been notified that they were not selected.

Did Obama make the right pick? Vote in the poll, and then drop a comment below.

It's official by CNN and AP, but sources also lie. Don't think this is over yet.

Yup, it's popping up on just about every news site now. NBC News has confirmed as well.

Wouldn't it suck if tomorrow morning the Obama campaign sends the text message saying that it's not Biden? All the news outlets will want to commit suicide with shame : ) Including me.

Hmmm. Some of us were betting on Bayh. Interesting, tho. I think he probably made the better choice, since Biden has many years experience in foreign policy matters.

Well, Biden can stump and speech pretty well. Should be okay. I hope he likes the idea of NASA.

(VP is liaison between White House and NASA)
