In case you needed further proof that this election is as much about celebrity status as it is politics, check out the current issue of OK! magazine.

For the first time, the weekly magazine decided to do a double cover: Barack Obama and family grace the front cover, while Sarah Palin and baby son Trig are on the back.

Whoa...check out the pics of the covers!

I noticed that too. It's typical of the media. However, they're not going to beat down Sarah Palin. She's going to take the ticket to victory despite all of the hate spewing left winged radical.s

Please tell me there isn't a statue of Mary Tyler Moore throwing her hat in the air and thanks for getting that song stuck in my head.

Did anyone notice Bush and Cheney are conveniently not at the convention?

Pres. Bush is manning the White House so he could "oversee the hurricane team operations" and Cheney is in Russia (could they get Cheney any further away?)

Also, have you read the polls that place odds on McCain dumping Palin after the election? This has got to go down in history as the worst political disaster since McGovern's choice of Eagleton in '72.

Shame on you, Karl Rove, for running this dark horse candidate. Just goes to show that Mitt Romney (or Ron Paul) would have been far more palatable.

If you could read you'd know there's a hurricane. If they were there, you'd be saying what are they doing there when there's a hurricane happening. You're a moron.

I hate seeing things like this b/c it's not right. Obama is painted as a family man with no red marks while Palin is painted as a bad mother of a pregnant teen, etc. All day every day, all I hear is positives about Obama and negatives about Palin - this coming from news, magazines, tv shows, etc. The media is soooo freakin' bias and they constantly push their agenda off on America through covers like these. So what happens? Someone who doesn't follow politics assumes the majority is for Obama so that must be the right choice. It's awful. Their opinions should be kept to themselves b/c they are swaying votes just b/c they are liberals and anti-Bush. I was thinking about not voting, but I think I will vote for McCain and Palin just to piss off the media.

That is an intelligent reason to cause the continued downfall of our country.

Oh BOO-HOO Palin is being treated unfairly! This is politics - get used to it! Now, every time McCain opens his mouth he's talking about Obama's lack of experience, but then goes for a lowly Governor of the most obscure state in the nation. This chick is not prepared to take over our country if McCain old a$$ kicks the bucket. I AM NOT PREPARED TO HAND OVER CONTROL TO HER! This woman is there to say "YES DADDY" to whatever McCain comes up with. She won't be able to stand up against these men. Did they really think that the only reason a lot of people liked Hilliary is because she is female? Typical Republicans, think everyone thinks like they do. Obama/Biden combined have more experience than McCain/Palin. Honestly, do you guys really think McCain is going to make the significant changes America needs. I can't take that chance and vote for him, he's still on Bush's jock. Bush has taken us to the brink of disaster and I personally can't afford to slip over the edge.

Why, I don't have any idea where did you get she is not qualified? Just look at her agenda - 5 children - check. Opposes abortion? Check. Opposes stem cell research? Check. All the above based on strictly religious beliefs and not education or scientific research? Check. Pro life n' "would someone please think of the children"...n' all that crap - but also pro-guns at the same time? Check! Say, she is more than qualified! You never know when those Indians will attack again and than you'll be sorry there is no one to protect America! :)

I look at the cover of OK! and I See: A Mothers Painful choice. What choice? That she was SO brave to keep her DW newborn? I call foul...My wife and I had the most difficult choice we have ever had to face. And Please do not give me that tired line of "perspective". We were expecting Twins when we found out that the twins were...not okay at 14 weeks. The egg divided in my wife's uterus and caused the twins to share the same "egg sac", then we find out that one of the twins was growing directly from the uterine wall and that he had omphalocele (which many children do survive, so long as there are no other dangers) with a number of trisomies that were not compatible with live. We looked to many doctors to make sure this is what was going on...and at 16 weeks...we made the choice of ending the pregnancy. One twin had already died and the other would like not had made it through the pregnancy and would have died almost immediately upon birth and if Palin has her way this type of unfortunate event will be come illegal....So she [Palin] made the heroic choice of keeping her DS newborn...My wife and I would have taken a DS child over the trauma that wreaked through our family. So there is no painful choice there, she is not heroic, she is not a strong woman, she is not better woman as she is being protrayed. Again I call foul.
