Just re-watched part of "Waiting" last night. Great movie. Not a huge part for Cook, but excellent ensemble cast.
He's not funny. I've seen his stand up and he's just not funny. I guess if your mental state is that of a 13 year old boy with his first erection, it's a riot. The same can be said about the mental state of pretty much the ENTIRE entertainment industry. Sure you can be risque, but without brevity you're walking around with your hands in your pants. Like Mr. Cook and his audience. Dorme bene.
I don't watch Dane Cook movies. I already know he is not funny. Additionally, if you are in a movie with Dane Cook, watch out that he doesn't steal your lines.
If he didn't steal jokes, I wouldn't dislike him as much. But he seems like Ryan Reynolds less talented brother, who tries to make up for it with douche baggery.

You can blast him all you want, but he's got more money than any of you. Apparently the market for erect 13 year olds is quite steady, because he seems to be doing quite well for himself.
Everyone seems to hate him but he's actually pretty funny. Doesn't he play Danny Hoyle in "You SUck at Photoshop"? That seriously had the best season finale ever.
